His teacher had the idea to reuse the model in a rail shooter, and then at some point, once of us thought: “Okay… but what if it could it be played with Wii Remotes?”
To find out, we began our collaboration on what would eventually become You Cannot Kill The Queen Of Parasites, often shortened to ‘QuoP’, a tech demo utilising Wii Remote, Joy-Con, Gamepad and Mouse controls to deliver a 4-player rail shooter engine to be shown off at events. My brother, NinjaBash, did all of the artistic work, whereas I did all the programming, and one of his classmates made the sounds.
We presented this game at the ACM Games Festival shortly before the year’s end in front of a live audience.
Once upon a time, my brother had this unit to create a game among a team. While the game itself didn’t get very far, he had created this utterly incredible space station that would’ve been barely seen in the final product.
