Sonic the Hedgehog x Fortnite

One day, a Naruto-inspired emote called ‘Full Tilt’ appeared in Fortnite’s Item Shop. It was very clearly a Naruto reference, but I very much took it as a Sonic-style dash, which gave me the idea to recreate a certain controversial video at the time: the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

With just myself and my brother as virtual actors, we played out most of the scenes from the original trailer. I then used Replay Mode to record all of these moments, and edited them all together in Final Cut Pro on my MacBook.

I kind of knew people were going to like it, but I wasn’t expecting it to reach 9.8 thousand upvotes on r/FortniteBR, n’or for it to be featured a news report on GameRant!

I loved the process and reception so much that I went ahead and recreated the second trailer as well, receiving another 5.4 thousand upvotes.
